Hi, I am available for Online Chess Training.

Lessons will be conducted on a board with chess graphics in the Live Chess section and audio commentary via Skype. After each lesson, the student will receive any notes in the form of a pgn file.

In my lessons, students will receive tuition on all aspects of the game, this includes any questions that they need to solve, chess tactics, strategical ideas and motives, and practical tips to help all of those who wish to become a better chess player. I will help students from all levels up to the master level player (2300).

My rates are US$30 for an hourly lesson or US$50 for 2 hour lessons, paid to my paypal account. I will only take those students that are motivated to self-improve. Remember that a coach is just a tool along the path to achieving your chess goals, and that you should be testing what you have learnt from the coach, to compliment the lessons.

Send me a message to get started!

On ICC FM's and IM's offer $15 an hour.

Hi Mat, thanks for your comment. I think it is an interesting look into the chess psyche of some players. It is true, I could charge $3 an hour, but I believe I am worth much more than this. This is my fulltime job, to train chess players and one in which I am committed to doing a good job for my students. It's perhaps not just like some casual lessons on ICC.

There is a very good book by one of the world's best chess trainers, Tibor Károlyi, entitled Genius In The Background, that amongst other things, indicates that the strength of a coach is not necessarily related to their chess rating as a player. There are many great coaches that remain obscured or unknown to the general chess population. However their ability to train is beyond doubt, for the world's top players would not use them. An example not mentioned in the book is that Grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura has a 2200-rated player as his trainer.

Please don't judge me by my blitz rating on chess.com! Tongue Out

Many players continue to judge Tibor himself based on his "lowly" IM status, and current FIDE rating of around 2350. Yeah, well, he just happened to be one of the trainers of the Polgar sisters, and also promoted Péter Lékó from a 1900 level player into the world's top ten Laughing.

I am not a person who likes to do a lot of trumpet-blowing self promotion, I really dislike those television commercials that sensationalise something. The wise people find what they need themselves Cool.

I believe I am suited to training players of your current level... perhaps you might like to give me a try sometime!

Hello there. Would you approach a stranger in the street and say to them, "and WHO are you?". Please show some manners and introduce yourself firstly, so that we can get aquainted.
