Thanks for posting the game. The annotations are very helpful, and they allow me a much greater understanding of the game. It's interesting that you enjoy playing the Smith-Morra Gambit.
In my opinion, I don't think Black accepted the draw out of charity. He was starting to play some great moves, as you said, but I'm sure he found that very taxing, if his rating was accurate. I'm sure he gains a ton of points for drawing with a Master.
I guess the passed pawn and Bishop pair give Black a nice advantage. But I wonder, maybe if you played on, your opponent might make a critical error in this endgame?
