As many of you know, I am attending Covenant College this fall for my freshman year.  In order to make myself better prepared for this change in my schedule, I attended pre-orientation on June 17-18.  78 out of an estimated 325 incoming freshmen attended.  While here I took placement tests, met with advisers and student reps, received my work-study contract, and confirmed my hall assignment.  Work-study turned out for my benefit as I will be starting off in the audio/visual department (something I've always loved), and I was one of five freshman given special contracts over the weekend.  Also, my hall assignment looks promising.  Allow me to inform you a bit more on this subject.  I am staying in Founders, the second oldest of the dorms.  You get into this building if you are smart, quirky, or both.  My hall is Brethren.  This is the most close knit hall, and I only got in because someone graduated.  Also, the hall is known of the monk robed they wear to special events.  I believe this will provide an interesting college experience, and if any of you want to know anything else, just ask.
