The first Taiwan Chess Prix was held in 2008, Ashwin Sewambar, a university student from the Netherlands, won the championship and had entitled Taiwan Chess Champion from 2008 to 2010. The second Taiwan Chess Prix in 2010, Alex Liu, from Taipei, became the new Taiwan champion.
Now it is time to compete again! This year I believe it will be the most exciting one because this time there are big prizes added , NT$25000 for the top player and NT$10,000 for the second.
