it is called the scholar mate. it can't be trusted all the time. it would be risky to use against good players. it probably looks like this:

This is included in many chess books as the "first game" when describing how to play and how the game works.  It is also a "first game" in describing the notations for recording a chess game.  I have never seen it as real game.  But it does demonstrate some important chess concepts.

hm, better moves can be made against scholar's mate though, but the defense provided above is still a nice way.
