Here is another type called extended fianchetto.
This is exaggerated fianchetto.
the fiencetto is good when its done at the right time at the right place like if the diagonal is opened or if you have a peice to progress in front of it. it can be very sneaky
You are a golden God !!!
The Bishop is like every other piece in the game. You have to know when ,how ,and why your using it.
The more I see the better I like the position.
hahaha someone asked why you have such a "beastly name!" hahaha
A name is a name and a friend is a friend. Friend.
it is actually my favorite position especially on castling side...
hmmm... who needs the names? Just call it fianchetto!
my fav 2... i always castle after this. really good defense
Well what should be the moves after this ??? I mean we can use fianchetto ?
Always use it!
The bishop controls the center from a safe distance.
i just really began using my bishops alot better because of the access that they have when the technique is used
The fianchetto is a really solid formation.1.It moves your g pawn up to the protection of the f and h pawns so you get more support if someone is a attacking you on the g file.
2.The bishop guards a lot of squares around your king.
3.The bishop can get to almost any where within 2 to 4 moves if the centre is not closed. It emits a lot of pressure.
Sometimes i like to call fianchettoed bishops ''dragons'' after the famous sicilian g6 fianchetto. It really fits their name well.
And lastly if your attacking a certain place on the board an fianchetto is a good way to store a bishop on the other side and still particpating in the attack and not gettig in the way.A fianchetto often setups a discovred attack.
What's the best defense against fianchetto?
