Me and my friends had a two month period of opening a King's Gambit.  We usually played either 3. Bc5 or 3. Nf3.  Both worked really well and fun games were had on both sides of the chess board.

I play against the King's gambit frequently.  I simply play 1. e4 e5 2. f4 Bc5.  This bishop is very annoying as it prevents white from castling easily.

i find the divation very beneficial especialy on my part since 1e4 e5 2d3 loses the control of the centre.

    This is definitely a awesome opening, but I prefer 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4

I don't know about you guys....

but I am not interested in this kind of openning at all!

In this text we read that this openning seriously weaken the position of the Black pieces, but I don't think so!

The position of the black pieces will not be seroiusly weaken by white king gambit!

That's stupid! so what? Sacrefice a pawn at the beginning of the game to have more control in the center? Central control is a complex situation and there is a lot of other ways that Black can gain control of the center after white King Gambit!

do you really think that you can disable central control of your opponent just by sacreficeing a pawn? I don't think so.....

Moreover, you will mar your pawn defence line in front of your king by king gambit openning!

it's my opinion .... maybe because I am not a sacrificial chess player.

    anybody agree with me?
