That sounds really cool - I am a member of Hull chess club (far away) - We hire a church room but our equipment is pretty good!

The best thing though is that everyone is really nice, encouraging and helpful - on the odd occasion someone brings a book.

I visited the chess club in 1990 (i think), I was working in Hastings at the time as a joiner refurbishing a whitbread pub up.

I recall also buying some fischer vs spassky WCC 1972 books, which i still have

Just started playing again after many years and was introduced to chess.com via my eldest son.

Living in Bexhill nearby I hope to  pop down to some of the intenational matches in the New Year.

Regards
