Coaching anywhere in the world-Check out your WORLD TIME CLOCK to see the time difference for your session-I am in SYDNEY AUSTRALIA TIME

    http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/

As a coach I have a unique style and primarily seek to understand the psychological makeup of a student to help them unleash their potential and fun along the learning curve!

To do this, I primarily analyse their games, ask them 'what if?' and 'why?' questions and encourage them to also analyze with their opponents.

I also believe it is important to enjoy your chess and like to assist players to reach a level that they, the students are personally comfortable with.

Im probably a good coach for the student beginner or the mid range player who wants a companion/coach to lift his/her game or someone that may desire to play with an experienced player with chat for longer private chess sessions.

I often end up good friends with my students as a result.

For players that dont know, you can Chat to me FREE and enhance your chess experience from anywhere in the world by signing up to 'SKYPE'.

My Friend, experienced Full Time Coach Brendon Norman has 'excellent credentials' and I recommend you look at his coaching profile as well.

I admire and reccomend Trainer Georgie Xie for the very serious players over 2000 rating who want to shoot for 'The Stars'

As a player fairly new to chess, I found John Curtis to be an excelent coach.

After the first lesson I become more comptitive in games and started to beat players I otherwise could not have.

He has an excellent caoching style, not overloading the student with information, but rather giving advice where needed and asking questions to help the student find the best stragtegies on their own.

I would highly recommend John as a coach.

My Student/friend from Hawaii had one 2 hour session n wrote on 23/7/2011

hi! and thank you! ever since we had our lesson together, i've always played the ruy lopez when given the opportunity and i love it. before our lesson i would always think and never really know which direction to take after e4 e5 nf3 nc6, but now its automatic for at least the first few moves. so thank you for giving me a specific opening to study cause before i would just read and read on random stuff that i may or may not ever try.

introducing me to the game explorer has helped a lot as well too. I still make a lot of obvious blunders here and there though, i think just due to my lack of focus or sleep atm. at my chess clubs i have been beating people i wasn't beating a few months ago, so thats cool.

but yeah, i've been wanting to schedule another session one of these days to maybe go deeper into the ruy lopez or study another opening or maybe even buy an hour of blitz games someday. i've become rather fond of the short, fast, intense games rather than the long drawn out ones, although those can be just as intense in person. but yeah, hope all is going well down under and i appreciate the comment! aloha and take care
