Thank you for the lesson at the state championships danny! It really encouraged me, and helped! Insanityfiler really liked his lesson too. If you get back into coaching, I would buy!

Danny, I'd really like to apologize to you and tell you that I certainly didn't mean to come off as rude last night when I asked for a "free lesson" amid immediate post-simul-game euphoria.

It wasn't a very serious request. Honestly, in my own strange way, I was just implying that I very much look up to you as a most valuable chess guide/mentor no matter what happens in any games with you (especially not so serious ones) that I have the privilege of taking part in. I think you're wonderful. In fact, as far as personal chess idols go, I rank you above Carlsen, (I am serious about that.) and I do firmly believe that highly-skilled individuals who devote their time and effort as you do to the development and promotion of chess definitely deserve satisfactory compensation for all their hard work.

In fact, to try to make up for my heat of the moment silliness I also came here to propose a "counter offer" and pay you for at least one private/Skype lesson, but as your coaching profile reads that you're currently not accepting any new students I'll take it as a 'wasn't meant to be'.

Just to save a few comments, an IM usually charges about $50 per hour for teaching.  And has to turn people down at that because there are just too many of us neer-do-wells at chess.
