About Me:

With a rating over 2000, I coach beginners wanting to improve and win more games. We will look at establishing a set of solid opening moves, making the best moves, creating space, attacking while defending home, tactics, and more.

Feel free to check out my record here on chess.com. In over the board (OTB) tournaments, I was the overall quick chess champion at the Bluegrass State Games in the winter of 2006. At that same tournament, I placed second in my age group (adult) in standard chess. In 2007, at the same tournament, I placed third in my age group in quick chess. Along with my rating here over 2000, my standard rating on chessclub.com (most comparable to ratings on chess.com), is 2000.

I beat WGM Myroslava Hrabinska (rated 2529) in a 2 5 game on September 21, 2008. Also, I beat WIM Alejandra Rodriguez in a simul in 2007 and 2008 and FM Nick Raptis (2367) in a simul in 2007.

Over the last eight years, it has averaged about 100 points per year. In the last 2-3 years, it has slowed down a bit. Likely I am peaking and am in need of another round of coaching in order for my game to continue to improve.

Excuse me I'm a after a good coach, so far I've heard wonderful things about you. Could you just answer a couple questions, please?

If you were my coach could you give me an example of one of your lessons?

Do you have lots of coaching resources?

If you do could I have an example?

Thanks, I appreciate.

P.S. If you have time could you analyse one of my games for me or play an unrated game against me.

kcbishop has been coaching me over several lessons now.  My game has improved dramatically.  I highly recommend him if you are looking for a coach.  Great instruction and very reasonable rates.
