About Me:
Fide Instructor (FI) Prasad Deshmukh is a World Chess Federation (FIDE) Certified & Licensed Coach.
He started his coaching career in 1994 when he conducted a camp on behalf of the Bombay Chess Association at Elphinstone College in south Mumbai. Ever since he has been an active coach. Under his tutelage some students have crossed the 2000 Elo Point (International Rating) mark.
He was the Bombay University Chess Champion in 1994 and the Captain of the University team in 1995.
An Internationally Rated chess-player, he was awarded the title of 'National Arbiter' by the All India Chess Federation in the year 1996.
Based upon his performance in the Chennai FIDE Trainers' & Instructors' Seminar, 2008, he was awarded the title of 'FIDE INSTRUCTOR' by World Chess Federation Certificate.
He runs an academy called the Paul Morphy Chess Academy at Borivli west.
