I like the game of chess, I like to analyse my and others' games and to share what knowledge I may have. I have worked as coach for different chess clubs as well as given personal assistance to a number pupils some of who came to be equal training partners for me.

Perfect Gent says you are his nemesis! I am playing him just now with my favourite opening, the Danish Gambit. Do yo know about the "speed learning" method for chess? It consists of flashing up positions on the board followed by arrows for the best move, supposedly imprinting them so you know the best answer. I think what I am asking is to evaluate the balance between learning openings and learning and applying principles.

I have improved greatly since studying a few openings, leading to easier later play against vastly superior players like PerfectGent. He may well win later when I blunder, but my opening has given huge positional superiority.

How much do you charge for coaching, and how does it work?

Sorry for so many questions.
