New to Chess ( <1000), Beginner (1000-1400)
Dear Chess Enthusiast,
- Do you want to learn from a top player and eventually play chess like him?
- Would you do anything to win?
- Do you believe that memorizing openings and lines would enhance your play?
- Do you think that there are ways to improve rapidly without any serious effort?
- Is your motto "standard chess sucks, let's blitz it out"?
---------------THEN THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU!---------------
I won't teach you my style. I won't help you memorize my openings. I won't share any secrets of chess with you. I won't tell you that you can improve rapidly and I won't teach you blitz or rapid chess...
What I CAN do is to help you: love the game of chess for its aesthetic value; understand the principles of chess; find the ways of chess through hard work and game analysis; enhance your problem solving abilities; become a chess player with your own unique style; adopt chess techniques and values in life.
Chess is no science nor art, cause you don't need to be Einstein nor DaVinci to play it. Chess is not the game of geniuses. Chess though can make a genius out of you!
There's no magic wand to make you a top player in a blink of an eye. In chess, you should consider yourself as a scholar, seeking for the ways of chess -your ways. Chess is about hard work and short-term goals.
