Description:

This is a Chess playing program that I wrote in Turbo Pascal as part of my Ph.D. research in Artificial Intelligence that you may download for free. The Zip file contains both the executable and the source code file along with documentation. The Chess program is CP3.EXE. To run the program just click on the CP3.EXE file. I have a copyright on the source code file, so you may modify it or share it, but you cannot sell it. I offer this program for free download without a warranty of any kind. Play it at level 7 for the most challenging game. Let me know if you can beat it at level 7.

Well, for one thing at least it's quite polite, better than many other players...however, I wouldn't say it's too strong. I just beat it fairly painlessly as white with an Open Berlin Defense. It fell into a standard trap after ...Nxe4 d4 Bb4?! a3 Bd6 Re1! Nf6, etc. It feels good to play against such a clear-speaking and polite player though ;)!

I've been trying to beat this game since I was a kid! I have yet to master it.

Daddy, I think it would be nice if you added some graphics. My head spins watching all the letters and numbers move around.

But this is so impressive! I can't believe you wrote this! You're a genius!

Love,

Erin
