Description:

OpenChess is a Chess game, Opening Trainer and Chess data base for the PalmOS platform. It supports Palm devices with OS 3.0 and above and uses separate layouts for Grayscale, Color and HiRes (OS5 and Sony Clié OS4) devices.

OpenChess comes with the very strong GNU Chess 2 engine (which should challenge even good players) and has lots of interesting Features .

Not only for ambitious chess players - it offers an Opening Trainer which allows for easy training of opening books that can be loaded to the device as PDB file. Opening books can be made from any PGN files whereas all games and variants as well as the comments will be considered and included in the opening book.

Currently, OpenChess is translated into English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Dutch.

I love this download, I downloaded it to my pda, and it worked, I can't keep from playing it now. the download was easy, and this way I can learn to play.
