Exactly 100 years ago, there was celebrate the first major professional chess tournament in the world: San Sebastián, 1911.

The organization invited 17 chess masters, considered the best in the world. The response was an unprecedented success, 15 of them were accepted, only Atkins and Lasker refused to play in San Sebastián.
