As an example for a Top 3 match analysis, 10 games of the World Correspondence Chess Championship 1972 of the champion Yakov Borisovich Estrin have been analysed with ChessAnalyse new reporting facility.
The parameters of the analysis were:
Engine: Deep Rybka 4 w32
Time: 30 sec
MultiPV: 3
Hash: 512 kB
Opening Database: none (the moves to analyse have been taken from SteveCollyer's analysis - see below - in order to be able to directly compare the results)
Hard-/Software: Windows Vista 32bit on Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, 2.4 GHz, 4 GB RAM; ChessAnalyse 2.6 beta
The results are in remarkable agreement with a similar analysis performed by SteveCollyer on Fritz 11, one year ago (http://www.chess.com/groups/forumview/fritz-xi-top-3-matchup-benchmark-stats , #28 following).
However, the standard deviation of the results is rather high, which may be due to the number of only 10 analysed games.
The attached report analysis file is in pgn format and can be opened with standard chess software. The analysis of each move is written to the move's comment section in the following format:
B (if book move)
number of best move (1,2,3 or 0 if no best move has been hit)
1st-best-move score time/sec ply-depth
2nd-best-move score time/sec ply-depth
3rd-best-move score time/sec ply-depth
The informations are separated by semicolon.
In order to view the analysis results in the beginning of the file, however, you have to open it with an editor.
------ Update 2010 August, 20th :
MultiPV bug in Rybka corrected. Analysis done again from move 1, book moves omitted.
