Excellent, and a must have for all who want to become above average in chess.

Short Story:  when I just reached 1300, an Expert (2120) loaned me this book.  I studied through it in one month, and upon return, ended up paired against him in a tournament.  I used techniques directly from this book to beat him - my first ever 'Expert' scalp and the first time i played an expert.   the rest of the story:  The next time I played him for a tournament - about 2 months later - I lost because I got into an ending and hadn't studied pawns, rooks, and knights at all - at that point in my chess career.

The lessons I learned:  do not get into an ending you haven't studied techniques in - and    STUDY ENDINGS Daily .....     thus, I would also recommend you study in any endgame book for as much time as you spend doing anything else in chess EVERY DAY    - if you want to become really good at chess......
