This is a great book for beginners and novices alike. It teaches the mechanics of the board and then goes on to explore fundamental principles for great game play. I learned a lot from this book even though I was proficient in chess. Very easy to read and the concepts don't get bogged down in too much theory. Definitely recommended!!!!
