This book is aimed for Scandinavian players. It is quiet complete, but I think if you are looking for a book only to get basic ideas an patterns, this book is not for you because maybe is more on theory.

If you want to play either the 3... Qd6 Scandinavian or the 2... Nf6 Scandinavian, then you can consider buying this book. The 3... Qd6 variation gets 60 pages of the book, and the various white tries against 2... Nf6 (3. c4, 3. d4, 3. Bb5+) get another 80 pages.

If you want to play the 3... Qa5 Scandinavian, then you should not buy this book. Twenty pages and ten annotated games of course don't cover all of white's possibilities for an advantage. If you want to play 3... Qa5, then you should probably buy Emms' The Scandinavian 2nd Edition.
