If you're just starting out, and dont need any "special" time controls, this clock will be fine for you.  I believe this clock goes for about $35, so its a decent digital clock for the money.  But compared to the Chronos (which goes for around $100-130), I must give it 3 stars.

A wonderfull clock for beginers.  It´t only about $25.  It has a simple delay feture, and the ability to set both sides seperatly.  The display is also easy to read.

Oh, and one last thing that does anoy me about this clock, to switch from delay to standered, you have to hit the reset button.  Which mean finding a sharp object (usually a pen) and pock the little button in the hole.

It´s not spectacular, but it´s great for the price.

wholesalechess.com is selling them by the case (about $60 including shipping and handling in the USA).  (I bought a case for our school club.)  These are considered "imperfect" because of a design change.  Also, not all the clocks came with instructions (at least the first one I opened didn't... the second one did... haven't gone any further)  The clock has a power saver that will power the clock down after 10 minutes if it is not used (does not effect the "long think" and will continue to run during a game).  The clock is very easy to set and use.  You set the time, it becomes the "default" time for the clock.  To change the default time use the "reset" button on the bottom.  It also has led ligts to indicate who's turn it is (you can turn this feature on if you want).

The clock has a very light weitght feel.  However, the buttons feel very solid and take a very hard hit without adverse effect.  The buttons I think this can stand up to blitz chess but I wouldn't want to put the case up to much trama (it is very easy to scratch).  The clock comes with heavy rubber feet that take the shock of slamming the buttons HARD. [To be fair, my personal clock is a Chronos II which is made of solid steel (stainless steel?) and doubles as a club in bad neighborhoods... (joke)]

Personally I might switch to this clock for blitz since the action of slamming a button and trying to break a clock is part of the fun of blitz!  At less than $6 a clock
