I love this clock! I have had mine for about a year and a half. It is easy to set (once you learn how!), and is a nice size: it fits in my bag along with my roll-up board and set. The LEDs are great for when I want to get up from the board - I can tell by the color of light if it is my move without having to walk back and forth. With no real moving parts (the touch pads ONLY work with your finger - not pieces), there is none of that annoying pounding you sometimes get from people, and nothing on the outside that can break. And it is SOLID! The entire case is metal.

I recommend this clock to anyone looking to buy a quality digital clock.

After years of holding out against the digital world, I set my analog time piece on the shelf, and ponied up the cash to buy a Chronos Touch Switch.

From my viewpoints:

  • Super construction; one would have to really try hard to break this animal. This clock will outlive its owner.
  • Quiet; no constant annoyance of clicking buttons during blitz or standard play.
  • Not easy to program; I have been fortunate to participate in tournaments where the TD was fluent in correcting the settings of many clocks, including mine. Online downloads of instructions are available if you lose yours.
  • More features/options than I will ever need!
Despite occasional struggles with programming it, I am very pleased with my purchases. The positives greatly outweigh the negatives.
