The board is 10" x 10" when folded out with 1" squares. The pieces are beautifully hand carved in the traditional Staunton style. And with magnets inside, these pieces really hold their position even though you would never guess it is magnetic! The pieces are held inside of the board when closed and there is a nice green felt layer to protect the pieces.
