why this cap is so very expensive...the equivalent of your price in philippine money is almost 1000

It is too much expensive. In India simillar caps costs just $1 or less. Some turnament organizers gives it free of cost to their particepents

as a gesture of gratitude, why not give the hat away to all paying members or at the very least a reduced price for all paying members. Either way it's all free advertising for chess.com It's a win-win situation because members are happy and chess.com.

Very good price. You will pay almost $10 more than this for a hat with a NBA of NFL team logo on it. I will buy one because I like chess, and chess.com
