There will be a rated and unrated division in this tournament. $1,000 prize fund unconditionally guaranteed!! Based on 50 entrants in the rated section the payouts would be as follows:

The open section would have the highest prize fund of $300/$250/$150,  Under1800 would be $250/$200/$100, and the Under 1100 section would be $200/$150/$100. 

The unrated tournament will require no memberships to participate in.  The entry fee for this event will be $15, and the games would last for 30 minutes.  Clocks would not be necessary as the tournament director would keep time, and in the event that there was no result at the end of the allotted time the director would declare a victor.  Registration will be accepted at the event, but pre-registration is encouraged.  Registration at the event begins at 8:00 A.M. and ends promptly at 9:30 A.M..  Anyone coming late will not be allowed to register.  The first game will begin at 10:30, and subsequent rounds will be at 11:30, 12:30, 1:30, and 2:30. A total of 5 games will be played. An Awards ceremony will be held at 3:30, with trophies going to 1st- 5thplace, and participation ribbons going to all non-trophy winning participants.

The rated section will consist of three sections an Under1100 section, Under1800 section, and an Open section.  Players will be required to have active USCF and MCA memberships.  They can purchase them on-site if their membership is expired or they are a new tournament player. The Entry fee for on site registration will be $35.  The pre-registration fee will be $20.  Players will be able to pre-register until one week before the tournament is scheduled to take place.  This tournament will be a 4 round swiss style tournament.  The games will be 45 minutes or 40 minutes with a 5 second delay on the clock.  Players in this section are required to bring their own clocks.  Registration begins at 8:00 and ends at 9:30 on the day of the tournament.  The first round begins at 10:00 and subsequent rounds will be at 12:00,2:00, and 4:00 with an awards ceremony at 6:00.
