THE 2010 NORTH CAROLINA OPEN CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP
This is the tournament you cannot afford to miss!! Featuring much lower entry fees, guaranteed higher payouts to winners, and more prizes in each division.
1st N.C. finisher will be the State Champion; first two N.C. finishers qualify for the prestigious 2011 N.C. Invitational.
When: Labor Day Weekend: Sept. 3 -5 (3-Day), or Sept. 4-5 (2-Day)

"There are two options to get the special chess rate of $79. Call the hotel (704) 394-4301. Mention the chess tournament and CODE 'NCC'.
Using this method, the reservation must be made by the hotel desk clerk. If they put you on hold and send you to an offsite reservation service, you will be informed there are no rooms available in the block. This is not correct.

Format: 5-round swiss; 30 moves in 90 minutes, then sudden death 60 minutes. For the 2-day option, game 1 will be G/75.
Entry fees: $59 for NCCA members and for allNorth Carolina scholastic players if payment is received by Sept. 1st. $69 for all non-NCCA members if payment is received by Sept. 1st. Add $5 for all entries received after Sept. 1st and for on site entriies. Re-entry: $30 for under sections. No re-entry in the Open section. GM’s and IM’s receive FREE entry with $60 deducted from any prize.
