One day chess tournament at the Carver Community Center,Purcellville, VA, Saturday, April 12, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Non-rated tournament, All ages and all chess levels welcome.

Directions to Carver Center  :
The Carver Center is located at 200 Willie Palmer Way in Purcellville, Virginia. The phone number is 571-258-3400. This is a brand new street name and it does not appear on mapping web sites, GPS units, etc. It is just past the cross streets of: South 20th St and East D St.

Directions:

From points East, take Route 7 west toward Winchester. Take the VA-287 ramp toward VA-7-Business Route / Purcellville / Lovettsville. Turn left onto Berlin Turnpike / VA-287. Turn right onto E Main St. Proceed 1.2 miles. Turn left at the blinking yellow light onto S Nursery Ave / 690 and immediately take the left fork onto S. 20th Street. Proceed .5 mile and turn left onto Willie Palmer Way at the "Carver Center" sign. Go to the end of the road. It looks like a brick school.

Drop in's are welcome, but if you know you are coming, please RSVP so we know how many tables to set up. Thanks!

If you have them, please bring chess sets, chess clocks, pencils, lunch. (Be sure to write your name on all your items.) Score sheets will be provided.

Five rounds, one hour games, 10 minute break between games. One hour lunch break. No food available on site, but fast food restaurants are close by.

Awards Ceremony immediately following last Round.

Spectators welcome.

Cost:

    Carver Center User Fee: $1 (goes to Loudoun County)

    Tournament Entry Fee: $1 (goes to Chess Club)

Our last tournament had 19 players.
