The question of Brain vs. Brawn has been around since the beginning of time.  In this event they'll both be tested!

Rounds: 8 (4 Rounds of 30-min Flag Football games and 4 rounds of G/30 rated chess games)

Teams: 4-player teams. Additional alternate may be submitted (once an alternate steps in for someone that player may not return to competition). Teams with one or more female players start every football game with an automatic touchdown!

Flag Football Section Rules

• Two consecutive pass completions = 1st down
• Five second count before QB can be rushed or can run
• Flag must be removed completely to "down" a player
• Touchdown is worth 7 points; Safety is worth 2 points
• Delay of game will result in loss of down if setting up a play takes longer than 15 seconds.  30 seconds allowed to set up after a score
• Games will be 30 minutes long without stopping the clock
• Win = 3 pts; Tie = 1 pt; Loss = 0 pts

Chess Section Rules

• G/30 Time Control; USCF Official Rules
• Upon Registration teams must designate Boards 1-4
• Each round will be an individual match between two teams.  Each team will earn team points based on each game towards overall score.

Scoring: Flag football team points and chess match points will be added for each team to obtain overall team score.

Entry Fee: $100 per team if paid by 12/1/10 ($120 if paid after 12/1/10); Individuals may also register for $25 ($30 if after 12/1/10) as free agents and be picked up by teams still needing players. USCF membership required.  You can register for USCF membership at uschess.org

Prizes: Top team will win 55% of entry fee funds.  Top individual will win 25% of entry fee funds.
