I plan on going to the St. Louis Chess Club and Scholastic Center for a day between April 23rd and May 6th, when the U.S. Chess Championship will be going on. I hope to catch a glimpse of some of the players, preferably Kamsky. My question is, are visitors/fans allowed to watch the games as they happen? Are we allowed in the chess club during this time?

    Thanks!

You bet! There is space in the playing room to watch the games live and in person. Likewise, we will have first-class commentary in the lower level, where you can watch the games, ask questions, and hear the opinions of our top notch commentators. Once the games are complete, the players come to the commentary room for a bit of a post mortem and press conference, during which the audience is invited to participate.

That sounds like a lot of fun! I've been there twice so far - the first time I was there, I saw you Tony Smile

I wonder, will all of the competitors be there from April 23rd to May 6th? Each day, I mean?
