Anand vs Topalov Game 5 Preview

    Game 5 is will start at April.30,2010 at 7:00 PAC. Anand will have the black peices while Topalov will look to attack. What kind of opening would you expect from these two? Also can Anand go ahead by 2 points? Or will Topalov equalise.

    My thoughts here is Topalov will play 1.d4, probably some kind of Semi-Slav or Nimzo-Indian opening. Since Anand is black, it will be tough to win. But I expect a draw nontheless. Yes, I am rooting for Anand. But you never know. Topalov may equalise. We'll just have to hope for the best. Anyways just submit your thought here. Also I will be doing a post-match analysis after this game. I will create another post.

    Starting time for all the games is 15:00 EET = 5:00 PAC, so also game 5 on Friday, April 30 will start at 5:00 PAC.

    (chess.com TV live coverage of that game (see schedule there) will start at 6:00 PAC (i.e. at about the time when the opening moves have been played and players have started taking some time for their moves).)
