I never got the point of this chess boxing.  Just my opinion, but I don't believe this is the path to making chess more popular in contemporary society.  I mean, would Soccer become more popular in the US if the two teams stopped every 15 minutes to play a round of Monopoly for extra points?  I think this is just a gimmick and will do little more than make people take chess even less seriously than before.
