       World Chess Champion from 1975-1985! One-half of one of the richest chess rivalries in history against Garry Kasparov! Former FIDE President candidate! He has seen and done it all in the world of chess and today (May 23rd) he celebrates his 60th birthday!

    Karpov was born in 1951 so he will be 61 this year ,  these belated birthday wishes can be confusing !
