I have recently been asked to tweet on behalf of Hastings & St. Leonards Chess Club, using the club's official account. Editorial direction is to be reviewed after Christmas but at the moment, I am charged with relaying chess news and club results.

Hastings is an active and strong chess club, drawing on eighty players, ranging between master and beginner. We enter multiple teams in the Kent Leagues and the Mid-Sussex Leagues. The club also competes in the National Club and National Club Major knock-out competitions.

Hastings also hosts the annual Hastings International Chess Congress, an event that attracts strong players from all over the world.
