Maybe monterey is a great location, but I don't think they will get the 5 million dollars together + the minimum 1 million dollar price fund that FIDE requires from the organising bid on such short notice
Monterey's benefactor already has the money.
If it were really in Monterey, I would absolutely go. I'm a big Anand fan, and six-year-old Cobblepot is a Carlsen fan.
Plus, tons of people I work with are Anand fans.
You work with tons of chess players?
Does your six year old understand Carlsen's moves?
Maybe it's a generational thing, but I'm baffled.
Is it difficult for young Carlsen fans to enter the workforce?
Are all the current managers Anand fans?
Carlsen requested a postponenment.
If Carlsen doesn't like Sochi, then maybe he would like Monterey.
Please hold the Anand-Carlsen 2014 World Championship match in Monterey, California. It is a beautiful location. Anand has many fans in Silicon Valley. No bids have come in from anywhere else in the world. The event would be a great success.
Thank you for your consideration.
hangin with Anand at the aquarium, and then Saporos.
Carlsen is hangin on Cannery Row.
monterey, ca is a nice place.
steinbeck is from there. he wrote a book called monterey row which is about the meat canning industry.
life could not be at better. i am happy and i woke on the right side of the ground this morning.
I woke on the right side of the ground this morning.
Yikes, is waking up on the other side an occasional problem?
Yeah, that's where Carlsen is hanging out.
