Well now, Round 8 of the Nanjing tourney is underway and actually, all the games have been already completed. Game one of the finished matches are Wang(W) vs. Mags(B) and it only went 28 moves before a draw was agreed upon and the time on the clock was WAY one-sided. 24 minutes for Wang and over an hour left for Mags. Here is that game:

   Game two is Anand(W) and Topalov(B), and this game ended early as well after 31.Kc1. The time in this game was a little more balanced at 31 minutes to 42 respectively. Here you go:

   And finally....Bacrot(W) vs. Gashimov(B)..this to me..is a crock. A 14 move draw. Makes me wonder if this was pre-arranged before the game just to get it over with...

   And the standings haven't changed since each player only acquired a half point in today's festivitites. It's going to come down to the last round like I said the other day. Tomorrow's key match is Topalov vs. Mag-Town. Here are the standings after 8 rounds.

Your points don't work out. I believe Bacrot has 4.5 points as well.

BTW thanks for posting. I couldn't wait for the results. I rechecked: it is Bacrot with 4.5 points cause of his fail against Topalov.
