Can anything be done about moderating the appearance of adverts that pop up at the bottom of the page? All of a sudden today the same one is appearing on every page I open, which didn't use to happen. I understand the 'need' for ads but this mode of presentation is much harder to ignore and is very annoying, especially given that I have no interest whatsoever in what is being advertised (some computer game). There should be a "no thanks, now please f*ck off" button!

I think, it is the Ad Agency which decides which place to put it, chess.com has no control over this!

No, it's not OK. The pop-ups are over the actual chess board, mid-game. I also find it hard to believe that chess.com have no control over the position of ads on the site. If it continues, I'll just play on yahoo chess or something instead.
