Ok everyone. I'm feeling very under the weather with the flu and even though I said to a few of my friends and myself that I wasn't going to continue covering the SPICE Cup, I know I'm going to be up all night, so I might as well do something with it, so, I'm doing this.
Now, Round 6 of the B group was the other day, but not Round 6 A, that was today, along with Round 7 of the B group. Confused yet? I was. But I'm sick, so I'm very foggy. So, I'm going to do this nice and slow ok? OK.
Round 6 Group A Results:
First off, Meier(W) vs. Robson(B). (I'm getting these games from both MonRoi and Fritz 12/playchess.com. MonRoi says this game is over, playchess.com still has it going LOL):
----------
Next up is Onischuk(W) vs. So(B):
Finally, finishing up Round 6, Group A is Perelshteyn(W) vs. AlmasiB):
Overall standings for both groups will be in the 2nd post.
-Mark
Now, Round 7 Group B results are here:
Let's get the shortest game done first, as this game only went 9 moves. It is Bykhovsky(W) vs. Finegold(B):
Next is Antal(W) vs. Krush(B):
Thirdly, we have Ippolito(W) vs. Diamant B):
Next up everyone, is Yang(W) vs. Smith(B):
Now as you probably can tell, is "Pappa Bear" Danny Rensch(W)(he really needs to give himself a new nickname LOL) vs. Kuljasevic(B):
Now, for the standings after their respective groups:
Group A first:(remember, for Group A it's 3 pts for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss)
1. GM Meier 14.0 points2. GM Onischuk 11.03-4. GM So, Almasi 8.05. GM Perelshteyn 3.06. GM Robson 2.0
Now, for Group B:(regular scoring rules apply)
1. GM Bykhovsky 5 points2-3. GM Antal, GM Kuljasevic 4.54. IM Ippolito 4.05-6. IM Smith, FM Yang 3.57-8. GM Diamant, GM Finegold 3.09-10. IM Krush, IM Rensch 2.0
Alright everyone. I'm going to go rest and I will see you all again tomorrow for the next rounds.
