Richard was chosen for the work with the scholastic chess work he does in the California bay area. He is the official photographer for CaLChess and he has taught chess and worked with many scholastic organizations for years now inspiring kids through the game of chess. The USCF has chosen him as the USCF Volunteer of the Month for February for all the work he does in the local Bay Area.
Congratulations to Richard Shorman on the achievement and also thank you for the hard work put into the chess scene in the California Bay Area!
