Encyclopedia of Chess Combinations, Fourth Edition

http://www.newinchess.com/Encyclopedia_of_Chess_Combinations__Fourth_Edition-p-7233.html

This is new from Chess Informant in Belgrade if your going to study combinations there's enough material in here to last you a life time 3001 combinations it was formally called Anthology of Chess Combinations. Some people prefer the CD but I like the book because I study Chess the traditional way with a board and clock not a Computer another reason I like the book if the CD gets scratched or stolen I'm going to have a problem.

This is a very special book by Mikhail Tal and Henekin written in the 70's in Russian (Origionally called Tal's Winning  Combinations) I treat it with great respect blows away alot of current books on tactics and checkmate in terms of the quality to me it's like a magic book whenever I open it I always learn something new it inspires me to study Chess.

How to beat your Dad at Chess:

I own Henkin's book and I agree it's great. I like "Understanding Chess Tactics" by FM Martin Weteschnik and "A Course In Chess Tactics" by GM Dejan Bojkov too...
