In the next week or two the Black Shield Assassins are going to start a contest!! This contest will be open only to B.S.A. members. We want to invite anyone who is interested in participating in the contest, but you will be required to be a member in order to join the contest. The contest is for ORIGINAL chess literature. If you have written any chess stories or chess jokes, chess poetry or chess songs, or wise sayings, anecdotes or chess artwork like sketches drawings or digital graphics or even if you have invented your own chess opening variation that you have your own original self analysis for, then WE WANT YOU to participate.    

The rules will be explained in detail in the not to distant future. There will be more than one winner BUT, EVERYONE will have their submission published in a book as long as it is YOUR original work! No plagiarism!, and as long as there are NO inappropriate words or implications that are unfit for young readers. So anyone who would like to contribute to this chess book can find out more information from the administrators at the web address below.

sadly im to busy to distracted with writing other things and playing chess, else i would have loved to join it

true i could even adjust a story so that it would fit this theme, seeming i have never tried using chess in a story before..

ha ha! i have though about doing that for some of my term papers : ) the ones i got good grades on just need a few words to be changed so, for example, my 'early america' report could be used for my class on 'history of native american culture' 

i wonder if i could create a horror story with chess pieces, something that doesnt fit, something that should be hilarious xD okay i might try it

hopefully we will have enough quality submissions that the 'rubbish' won't win. but as long as there is no perverted stuff in it it will still be published in the book. So i guess that is sort of a 'win' anyway.
