I'm participating in my first OTB tournament in March, and on the informatio npage said that if we had a chess clock, we should bring it. It would also be good for the future even for friendly games. Anyways, I was looking at some on this site and a couple others, and I saw several ones that got good reviews. I was wondering which digital clock was considered the standard chess clock? Like the one that they normally use in tournaments.

From what I've read there isn't really a standard one. Just about any digital clock is going to be good enough, however I'd suggest getting a DGT one. At least that's what I'm going to buy when I decide to actually play OTB.

They're the ones FIDE uses, there are a few different models with various bells and whistles but here are a few options:

Chronos

DGT XL

DGT 2010

Though for the money I'd say This might be your best option, there isn't any huge need to spend ~$80 on a clock.
