Chess the easy way by Reuben Fine & How to play winning chess by Fred Reinfeld. Has anyone read them or can someone give some insight to the authors . I stopped at my fathers house and he gave me these two old paperback chess books. I've heard of the authors/players before but don't know anything about the books. Thanks for any insight.

Both Fine & Reinfeld have written a number of books on all phases of the game; check Amazon.com. I would think most of us older players probably read/owned a few. I still have Reinfeld's "1001 Brilliant Ways to Checkmate" & "1001 Winning Chess Sacrifices & Combinations". Good set of books for problem-solving. They are in descriptive notation, but still good.
