On the chess.com iPhone app you have 4 options:

Play chess onlines
Play Computer
Tactics
Video

Is there not a way to play live instead of the back and forth every couple days games?  I pay for chess.com so its pretty upsetting that I downloaded two other free iPhone chess apps that allow me to play free and live with other players from around the world.

Can you play live with the chess.com iPhone app?  Any chess.com mods want to comment on the future of the chess.com app and if this feature is planned sometime in the near future. 

Yeah, thats sucks, that there isnt live chess. I never play turn based chess on iPhone, cos these are slow and serious games. I like them on my computer, so I can properly analyze them. And on iPhone I ONLY play live chess, cos thats fast and fun. Pity, that I have to use other apps for that purpose. It would be very fantastic, if I could play live chess on iPhone, with ratings and archive and all that stuff.

You have to install chess.com app but you will be able to play only turn based chess. For live chess you have to install some other apps.

Which apps do you use for "live" chess?

mostly "instant chess". It gives you an opponent instantly, there isnt any ratings or game history or anything. Just instant chess with random player. And there are a lot of apps wich allows you to play on FICS where you can create you profile and have rating and everything.

İ remember the update saying "live chess coming really soon"

Actually it is already on Android but does not work!
