I will spice up my training with a few daily endgame problems. So, I am looking for a book with nice collection of endgame problems. Any suggestions?

Farbor,

My favorite endgame books are in order of like:

  1. Practical Rook Endings by Victor Korchnoi, Edition Olms publisher
  2. Chess Endings Essential Knowledge by Yuri Averbakh, Everyman Chess publisher
  3. Silman's Complete Endgame Course by Jeremy Silman, Siles Press publisher
  4. Rook Endings by Levenfish/Smyslov, Batsford publisher

Excellent! Silman's book is defenitely on my to-buy-list! I hope to find something smallish to keep in my backpack so it is available whenever I have some free time....

One more idea: "Pandolfini's Chess Challenges: 111 Winning Endgames" is a pocket endgame puzzle book I've taken with me on a trips.

The endgame book by Livshitz is small like a regular paperback and is all problems, thematically arranged in increasing difficulty.
