Anyone have any experience with this? I can't seem to get it to work with crafty. What engine should I use? What interface? Thanks!

You should be able to use crafty through xboard with analysis mode, however you may need a newer version of xboard though.

De-Lar: I'm having some trouble understanding how analysis works with xboard. Can you please explain how the "score" works? I e there is a small number before the line that gnuchess presents, eg +0.46 Bh6. In Chessmaster this would mean that white is in the lead by 0.46 centipawns. That doesn't seem to be the case here though. I entered a forced mate in one of my games and it gave the score +3.4 or something until finally I had mate in one when it said "NO PV".

I don't know much about it, however i do know that xboard doesn't really know how to score forced mates.  I've had it where xboard new the line for a forced mate however It gave a score of +4 or something like that.  Other than that I thought the scores were pretty similar to fritz and chessmaster.
