Izmet, is it compatible with the DGT e-board?

Yes, the DGT3000 is e-board compatible, it's an upgraded XL.

On top of that it can house a Raspberry Pi.

Thanks Izmet, so I am wondering if it's possible to download programs like Stockfish and run them from the Raspberry Pi...thereby turning the DGT system into a stand-alone chess computer. Do you know if that's possible? Best wishes, John C.

I believe that's the idea, yes. :)

With some tampering, the DGT3000 shoud be Picochess ready. Mine is in the mail, I'll report pronto.

Definitely better looking than the XL.

I'm excited about the extra large display as well as the US delay, Fischer, and Bronstein all being featured. See an explanation in this blog article I just posted.

Nice review Raf, and this can be had for the low low price of?  $99.95 is what your competition on Amazon is selling it for.  

May I ask you to compare this with a touch sensor Chronus?  Seems even the new ZMF is touch sensor, less moving parts to break.  Also when do you think the LCD displays will be replaced with LED dispaly like in the ZMF.

I see thanks. Why they can't make that same clock without being compatible with the board since 99.8% of us will never use that feature and you have to be paying extra for it I have no idea. Make the DGT N/A with the same display and without the interface and it would probbaly sell for 1/2 price. Or is that what the 2010 model for?  I saw a 2010 models on eBay for %59.95 shipped last week but now it is gone and the seller did not list anymore but he does have one in an auction.
