The link worked for me OK. It looks like there are some non-chess books in there, poker and getting rich and whatnot.
Worked for me. All I can say is good luck on finding a single buyer.
This is a nice collection of books and definitely worth $5 each when taken as a whole. I would be tempted to buy them and re-sell them individually or use them as prizes in our OTB tournaments. (I have 500 chess books in my library but, alas, not a 2300 rating.) A couple of comments:
You've got a long way to go with your internet marketing skills, because this thread is sellin' bupkis.
As for your count...Are those all chess-related books?
the link works for me
I made sure I only counted the chess books, yes I know there are non-chess books there. Any how, there are 409 CHESS books. there are books here that are really hard to find, for instance, all the edmar mednis books, the endgame collection by averbakh, the sicilian labirynth books by polugayevsky, the mastering the endgame books (vol 1 and 2), I have some Romanovsky books, the rook endgames book by smyslov and levenfish. The algebraic version of pawn power in chess (hans kmoch). Endgame strategy by shereshevsky (not sure how hard that one might be to get).
The russian books are collectibles, its a nice series where the whole book is a collection of games by one player, you can see the pictures of players inside the book, capablanca, alekhine, and so on. I think they were written by Petrov.
Oh almost forgot, I also have the three volume set of Botvinniks best games, these are highly praised books, valued at 40 each.
Anyway for those interested just let me know.
The link works, I can see the books.
There are a lot of Everyman's books and some are in Russian? I can't read those titles.
That is quite a collection and many are for the higher level chess players.
You have some gems there, which are indeed quite hard to find now.
However, since I already own more than 50% of your collection, I won't place an ante.
for those who are blessed enough to make things happen:
I'll probably never read the four I already own.
I may be interested in up to a couple of dozen books if the right titles, condition and price can be negotiated, (w/ shipping). As for the complete collection, I can't afford that much clutter. Let me know if you generate a list or sell them on ebay. Good luck.
Okay woodshover, I'll bite: which 4 books are you not reading?
Idiots Guide to Chess. I do read through that now, and then. How to Reasses your Chess, some fool gave that to me. Mammoth Book of Chess. Also a couple of puzzle books I do actually work on now, and then.
chess.com should purchase the library and donate it to a school chess club :) LOL!
That's what I hate about the holidays. Those idiots ringing bells all over the place.
Yeah, and all that reindeer dung on the roof.
