Hi all,

i recently purchased Fritz 11 to analyse my games and have a question about how the program shows you how good your position is. Cause when Fritz is busy analyzing the game, it shows possible moves and "points" in the bottom of the screen like +1.62 to show that White has the advantage. When Fritz has finished though, i can't find those numbers. It just says: 34.Ne6 +-, to show that White has an advantage. Is there a way to see +1.62 in the eventual analyis? I can't seem to find it in the manual.

What I normally do, is first perform a full analysis. Indeed than you do not get these numbers. Subsequently I perform a Blunder analysis. This last analysis will give you information about your position.

Good luck,

Erik

yeah, above poster is right. blundercheck is a relic from when computers just did number analyses (the numbers you see, like -0.72 for example)

full analysis gives language

plus you can run through the full analysis while on infinite analysis mode to get numbers. give it a few moments to get a more accurate value.

Thanks to both Erik and Xolom for their help!! Fritz 11 is great by the way, especially the database full of games from masters and grandmasters. Lovin it!

Mine doesn't give language at all.  In fact, it's extremely poor. The Chess.com analysis is far above better than what I'm getting from the Full Analysis feature of Fritz 11 + Deep Rybka 3.  Do I need to use a different engine for analysis?

You need to check the box that labeled "verbose" when you start full analysis if you want language comments.
