Great Attacking Book

Sort:
Silentglade

I wish to learn the ultimate art of attacking the King. Pawn storms, etc. Everything I can. Any suggestions? I will of course be using the content here on Chess.com as well. Wanting books as a supplement kind of thing and I like holding things in my hands.

I'd recommend the classic The Art of the Attack by Vukovic. It's available in paperback for about $17 new and $5 used from Amazon. You can find it in pdf here  http://bellairechessclub.com/sites/default/files/vukovic_vladimir-art_of_attack.pdf

and in chessbase and pgn format through Everyman's ebook page.  https://www.everymanchess.com/ebooks/art-of-attack-in-chess

I can't vouch whether this is the best book for whatever level you play at. Dan Heisman, an excellent instructor, characterizes Vukovic as advanced, and rightly so. Here is a link to Heisman's book recommendations page. It's always worth consulting when you're considering what to study.  http://danheisman.home.comcast.net/~danheisman/Events_Books/General_Book_Guide.htm
